How to measure
3" Increment sizing
Our cabinets are built in standard 3-inch width increments — 12", 15", 18", 21" and up to 36" (48" on vanities) — so you can plan a custom-fit run without awkward gaps or oversized filler pieces.
Layout guide
- Measure your wall space
Record the total wall length where the cabinets will go, at three heights. Note appliances, sinks, windows, outlets and vents.
- Set start and end points
Decide where the run begins and ends. Leave at least a 1" filler next to a wall so doors and drawers clear the wall when they open.
- Place specialty units first
Position fixed cabinets like sink bases and appliance openings first, then fill the remaining space with standard sizes.
- Select cabinet sizes
Choose 3" increment widths so the total matches — or nearly matches — your wall length without going over.
- Fill the gaps
If the run doesn't work out evenly, add a filler strip to finish it. We can rip fillers to size in the shop.
- Double-check, then order
Add up your widths, compare with your wall, and send us a sketch if you'd like a second set of eyes before checkout.
